| Responsibilities: | The UMBC Shriver Center’s Choice Program seeks an Assistant Director. The Choice Program is an intensive community based intervention program with three offices throughout Maryland. The incumbent, as part of the management team, will work with the Deputy Director and Director to: evaluate and monitor program effectiveness; supervise middle-management staff; plan and implement training efforts; form partnerships/advocate in the community; maintain a positive relationship with police, courts, and other agencies in Human Service delivery system and perform other duties as assigned. |
| Min Qualification: | Requires a Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred) in a Human Service field and a minimum of three years direct practice experience with youth in need of supportive services. Two years (three years preferred) of supervisory experience desired. Position requires use of automobile & valid driver's license. Note: Due to the nature of the work flow and level of responsibility, this individual maintains a flexible schedule which goes beyond a 40 hour work week. |
| Benefits: | University benefits package. Starting salary is in the low 40’s. This is a grant-funded position wherein employment is contingent upon renewal of the grant. This position carries no layoff or reinstatement rights. |
